Sometimes it is much easier to watch football when you have no stake in the game. With Manchester United exiting Europe this season in glorious mediocrity about 400 months ago, all the European matches since have been really good fun. And they have all built up quite beautifully indeed to semi-final week; so beautifully in fact that you worry if the finals themselves will be slightly anti-climactic compared to these games.
