Chelsea manager Andre-Villas Boas has admitted that Chelsea’s bid for Belgian prodigy was not his, but owner Abramovic’s decision.
The Blues have reportedly agreed terms with long-term target Kevin De Bruyne and his club Racing Genk for a fee thought to be in the region of £8million. Once the transfer is complete, Chelsea intend to loan him back to Genk for the rest of the season.
But when asked about Chelsea’s bid for the 20-year old, Villas-Boas said that it wasn’t his decision. He revealed, ”You have to speak to the people from the club about that,”
“It’s club policy. It’s not within my immediate projects.
“He’s a player the club has scouted for some time. I’m a manager who respects club policy.”
