Rafael van der Vaart has revealed he thinks Tottenham’s fans  were an important factor in persuading Luka Modric to remain at White Hart Lane.
The Dutch maestro believes the way the fans reacted to Modric played a major role in keeping the Croatian at White Hart Lane following Chelsea’s relentless pressure to sign him in the summer. He said:
