English champions Manchester United are poised to make a summer bid for Borussia Dortmund’s Nevan Subotic.

The giant defender is one of the hottest properties in Europe currently, and Manchester United’s manager Sir Alex Ferguson has his eyes on the 23-year old, and intends to bring him to Old Trafford and link him with fellow Serbian and United captain Nemanja Vidic.
It was reported that rivals Chelsea made a bid for the center-back, but could not lure him away from Germany. Arsenal too were thought to be interested in Subotic, and had made inquiries about the Serb’s availability. Sir Alex now looks to test Dortmund’s resolve, and will be making an audacious bid of approximately £16.5 million.
