CSKA Moscow chairman Yevgeny Giner claims there are no bids for the club’s top scorer Seydou Doumbia yet, but expects to receive top clubs’ offers this summer.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are among top clubs said to be eyeing the 24-year-old Ivorian, who is the Russian Premier League’s top scorer with impressive 24 goals in 30 games this season. Doumbia has also scored 5 goals in the Champions League already.
Giner, however, says no clubs have contacted him so far. “We haven’t received any offers yet for Doumbia from the top clubs, because they play top dollar, so they want to see two or three years of stable football from the player, and not just stunning form for a year only for him to peter out,” Giner told Russian news agency RIA Novosti.
