AVB was finally "furious" with the team!

At last we hear that AVB has an angry side with his players aswell as the media!. Up till now we have only seen his angered response to some lines of questioning during pre or post match press conferences when speaking to the media or the written press. It seems as though he let the players see the exact same side after defeat to United on Sunday. Speaking after the game, Juan Mata said:"The coach was furious after the match. And also the players because in a match like this you'd never think we could waste a three-goal home advantage. How many times will Chelsea be in with a chance to defeat United, winning 3-0 after 50 minutes?I never believ...

Roman Abramovich is back on the scene!.

With matters outside of football keeping Roman Abramovich busy, it was great to hear that he was at Cobham to see the players train on Saturday, to see AVB for a chat about things and to attend the game on Sunday. Roman even popped in to chat with the players for 30 minutes after the 3-3 draw with United. It's been a long time since we have heard that Roman is taking a real interest in Chelsea once again. We always used to see reports of him being a Cobham, chatting along with the manager and the players and getting a feel for things. As you would imagine, the press got wind of Roman's visit and the Daily Mail were first to "pipe up" with rubb...

Gary Cahill - In at the deep end - how do you think he did?

Gary Cahill made his long awaited debut for Chelsea against United last Sunday and I thought he did well and looked calm and composed. OK there is an argument that he was part of a defence that conceded three goals but two of them were penalties and you he is in no way at fault for the Hernandez header. He spoke to the press after the game about his debut and the fact we had thrown away a three goal lead and said:"It was a fantastic game to be involved in and it was in at the deep end but these are the games you want to be involved in, however any game you go 3-0 up you expect to win so that has put a dampener on my debut. It is a sickening fe...

Reactions to Chelsea 3-3 Manchester United.

1. It's a strange one to take, I think if you had asked me before hand I would have said that it was important Chelsea didn't lose the game. Saying that, to play well for the first ten minutes of the second half and find ourselves 3-0 up was a bonus!. To throw it all away is tough to take. 2. Cahill on his debut played well enough. He looked calm and composed and looked OK alongside David Luiz, his shot at the end of the game was good to see his confidence with the ball at his feet to step forward and take it on. 3. Bosingwa at left back played OK. Considering it was a toss up between him and Ryan Bertrand, Bosingwa held his own for most of t...

AVB's biggest test as Chelsea Manager so far.

AVB hasn't exactly had it easy since he has come to Chelsea has he?. He came into the club as a breath of fresh air speaking of motivation, fine tuning the team and with his technical staff getting the best out of everyone. Chelsea sit fourth just ahead of the likes of Newcastle, Liverpool and Arsenal and a whopping 12 points behind United and Man City and more importantly seven points and four goals behind Spurs.Has he done what he said he would so far? I think only to a point with certain players, that to me is a fair answer. I don't think anyone can argue any different. So what does tomorrow mean for AVB who has come under intense scrutiny...

Chelsea v Manchester United - How you feeling about the game?

I am asking the question to you the football fan reading this because I will be honest, I just don't know how to feel about the game tomorrow. Being honest with you, this is the first time that I can remember in a long time that Chelsea are about to take on United and I don't feel confident at all!. I am always optimistic about our chances because we have the players to win games but we haven't been playing well have we lately. I have said on here that I would take three points over a performance in recent weeks because it's true!, we need to stay in touch and in the top four. I KNOW we can win this one, we have the quality and ability to win...

Regular readers of my blog will know that I like to pick out a video on YouTube now and again to showcase some of the work being done by fantastic people on there. In the last few days my Torres post which had over 10,000 hits alone featured work put together on the video channel. Here I present to you yet another one to have a watch.
