Brazilian defender Alex is glad to be re-united with former boss after securing a switch to Paris Saint-Germain from Chelsea.
The 29-year old, who did not feature in current manager Andre-Villas Boas’ plans, rarely played for Chelsea this season, and did not find his name on the team-sheet on many occasions. Lack of playing time, along with Chelsea’s latest buy in the form of England center-back Gary Cahill, all but ended his career in North London.
“I spent the last two months watching, and wanting to leave Chelsea and finally we had a conversation and everything went very well between myself and PSG,” he stated.
Alex looks forward to re-uniting with former Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti at the French club, with whom he struck a good relation during the latter’s time at Chelsea.
