Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard destined to be the national team captain during Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine
Gerard was the England captain at the 2010 South African World Cup , after John Terry’s personal issues stripped him of the armband and Fabio Capello’s choice Rio Ferdinand missed the tournament through injury. Now, John Terry’s problems have forced him out of the captaincy again and Rio Ferdinand has said he is not interested in reclaiming the armband he lost to the Blues player last year.
