Chelsea defensive midfielder Ramires has faced a disappointing injury after damaging his medial ligaments against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday. Manager Andre Villas-Boas has confirmed though, that the club will not be looking for a replacement.
The Brazilian international player had an excellent start to the season, being a stand out performer for the Blues, but Saturday’s injury means Villas-Boas will have to be careful about his current squad of players to avoid a crisis situation.
However, the news of star defensive midfielder Michael Essien’s return from a long term injury assures Chelsea fans that all is not on the merky side at Stamford Bridge, the the Ghanian proving to be a fit replacement for the time being.
